Additional CAPT Network Fellowship and Mentorships Awarded
The CAPT Network has awarded an additional fellowship and seven new mentorships for the 2008-2009 year. These awards will provide recipients with valuable work learning experience under the guidance of an experienced mentor, furthering the CAPT Network’s vision of strengthening research capacity in eastern and southern Africa. Congratulations to the following recipients:

Research Study: Evaluating the WHO’s new guidelines for HIV infected inpatients with smear negative pulmonary TB.

Research Study: Application of DNA microarrays to establish yellow fever immune response profiles in healthy Ugandan adults.

Research Study: Cell phone reminders to improve adherence to antiretroviral therapy in Uganda. A randomized trial.
